Five Sisters
The Five Sisters Zoo is home to over 180 different species of mammals, birds and reptiles. Located around 20 min's drive away the Zoo is open all year round, closing only on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Almond Valley
On a wooded riverside site that extends for nearly a mile, there's so much to explore and enjoy at Almond Valley. The old stone buildings of the watermill and byres are home to friendly farm animals and a host of pets and poultry who are introduced in regular handling sessions. Across the river, among woods and gardens, there are trampolines, pedal carts and other imaginative outdoor play. Enjoy a seasonal trailer ride or a trip on the narrow gauge railway. Indoors there’s soft play and playgrounds, interactive displays and activities in the museum, and a tempting range of fresh healthy snacks in the comfort of Morag’s milk bar. Rain or shine, throughout the year, there’s always so much to interest and enjoy.
M&D's Scotland's Theme Park
As well as our rides & attractions (over 20 are for kids only), they have ‘glow in the dark’ indoor bowling, a gigantic soft play area, Game Zone with the very latest amusements and games, bars, restaurants , and lots and lots of seasonal events unique to M&D’s.
You can also discover AMAZONIA, Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest packed with exotic animals, birds and creepy crawlies! Why go anywhere else? It’s out of this world!
Puppet Theatre
The world famous Scottish theatre company, the International Purves Puppets, is a Victorian style Puppet Theatre in Biggar.
Purves Puppets shows have been an important part of Scottish Theatre for over 35 years and the shows tour all over the world.
The large scale puppet shows will provide fun for all the family.
Time Capsule- Swimming Pool
Are you ready for the Tornado Tantrum? Ride the 10m high Storm Chasers, Thunder and Lightning, with their amazing twisting twin flumes then test your strength and endurance in the Tsunami wave pool. Get drenched under the huge tipping bucket on Splashdown Island or float down Riptide River, a lazy river with a rapid ending.
Their aim is to provide access for individuals to woodland experiences that will improve the health and well being of members of the local community and beyond.
